Inspired by the imprint of Jesus Christ on the shroud from Turin, Weiland similarly imprints heads of Asmat wooden sculptures on cotton cloth. Some of the imprints he enhances. The artist demonstrates the importance of intercultural content of religion as expressed in art. |
